Dance tracks have suddenly been invading my playlist lately.
I don’t know if it’s because everyone is at Coachella or I’m readying myself for a Las Vegas club next month, but there’s a few addictive songs that will probably rule my summer.
Press play (and dance)!
Alesso (feat. Roy English) – Cool
“Get Outta My Way” was one of the best songs from Kylie MInogue’s Aphrodite era, and it takes on new life here. Alesso takes the sample and turns it into an addictive track with Roy English laying down a delicious vocal (especially the chorus). The visual that was just released is also fun and cool as you watch Alesso play the underdog who finally gets the girl! Download via iTunes here.
Calvin Harris feat. HAIM – Pray to God
I didn’t know who the group HAIM was until they popped up on Taylor Swift’s Instagram, but their song with Calvin Harris makes a great introduction to them (coincidentally Calvin and Taylor are also allegedly dating now). You never get to hear a lot of harmonies in dance songs, and HAIM takes full advantage of that here and sound perfect doing it! Download via iTunes here.
Kaskade – Never Sleep Alone
“We never sleep alone, nobody does,” Kaskade says… and he proves it here. This track is classic Kaskade where he uses a great vocal and also drops a damn good beat in between verses (pay attention at 1:13). This is going to be the perfect song for summer. Download it via iTunes here.
